Hello and welcome.
I’m James and this is a community of like-minded people looking to share investment ideas.
Being a member of this community enables you to both consume my analysis, but also to share your own ideas with others, as they invariably will with us all. Any good ideas will likely form the basis of future in-depth analysis which will be published here. And so the fly-wheel keeps turning.
Investing isn’t easy. It takes a great deal of time, effort and expertise. Most people are unable to pull together these essential ingredients and, for them, investing becomes something of a lucky dip (that is a recipe for failure).
I’m different. I am a professional investor and I am currently in my third decade working in the finance and banking industry for the likes of Citigroup and Deutsche Bank Wealth & Asset Management.
I am also a published author on the subject of equity investing.
Spotting winners and avoiding losers: That’s the name of the game. But it’s easier said than done. Many people struggle to see the wood for the trees or else they use flawed text book valuation methods that are doomed to fail.
I don’t write gratuitously with periodic frequency as many others do. I assume that you are interested in reading ‘high value’ quality rather than receiving ‘low value’ quantity.
I only write when I have something to share, either in the form of investment ideas or valuable investing knowledge. On occasion I may write nothing for several weeks and then I may publish several pieces back to back. All that I promise is that I won’t waste your time with ‘white noise’ published for the sake of publishing something. If I publish, it ought to be worth your time reading it.
I hope to spark debate and introduce the views of others into the discussion. We wouldn’t have a stock market if everyone thought the same way!
The collection of opinions from our community will be immensely valuable and ought to help inform your own investment decision making.
Give it a go! What do you have to lose? If it leads to only one great investment a year, or if it helps you to avoid one hazardous investment thereby preserving your wealth, then that will more than justify the small administrative subscription fee.
